These Are Some Of Our Favorite Hairstyles Of The 2000s

There are a lot of things we love about the 2000s, and that includes the awesome hairstyles women were wearing. If you thought that the early years of the new millennium had the same hairstyles as today, think again. There are plenty of gems that got left behind, but we didn’t forget.

We have listed some of our favorite hairstyles from the era. Let’s go back in time to see some of the most fun ways people wore their hair in the aughts.

Bandanas

Maybe not technically a hairstyle, but what defines the era more than wearing bandanas over your head? It’s bold, it’s ridiculous, and it’s totally awesome. Not to mention it is a great way to cover up for a bad hair day. Why spend the time doing your hair when you can just cover it up?

You may not be able to rock the bandana anywhere, but bandana discrimination aside, we see no reason why this style should not make a comeback. It could even be a fashionable way to recycle old clothes. Whenever rocking bandanas becomes socially acceptable again, we’re so there.

Stripey Two-Tone Highlights

This color trend was always a hot look. It took the two-tone strands that were popular in the 1990s and gave them an upgrade with crimping, and there’s a good reason these highlights took off and became the look of the era, with all sorts of celebrities going for them and all sorts of young girls taking after them.

Some people think the look is dated and should stay in the past, but we say let’s bring the stripey two-tone highlight back! They never stopped being magical, we just stopped believing in them.

Free Flowing Front Strands

What started in the 1990s carried over into the next decade, and it’s a style that still we think you can still pull off today without people looking at you funny. It looks classy and cool, giving that effortless look that we know took effort to achieve but we pretended it didn’t anyway.
